DM2 founders Joe Landry and Leonard Speaks

DM2 Founders

Joe Landry, President

As one of the DM2 founders, Joe has over 40 years experience in the manufacturing of precision-machined components. In 1972, at age 16, he began his training in New Hampshire, moving to North Carolina in 1976. After starting as a machine operator and quickly progressing to setup man, shop foreman, production manager and Vice President of manufacturing, Joe became a partner in a successful manufacturing company in Greensboro. Joe left that partnership in 2003 – after 27 years of service – and started DM2 in late 2004. Joe’s responsibilities include corporate and financial management, sales and marketing, and special projects.

Leonard Speaks, Vice President

Leonard began his career in manufacturing – like Joe, at age 16 – in 1984. After working for a manufacturing company in Winston-Salem for four years and taking a few college courses, he joined the company where Joe was employed. Hired as a machine operator, he worked his way up the ranks to become Production Manager. Leonard entered a business partnership with Joe in 2004, and joined DM2 on a full time basis in 2005.
